A cook’s tour of some of the museum's iconic vessels 

Join an actor, storyteller led tour to discover the stories behind some of the museum’s floating vessels! 

Told from the cook’s perspective, this tour visits three small ships and two tall ships and is an outdoor experience for adults who appreciate experience history particularly social and maritime heritage in a unique and personal way.

Find out why that woman behind “Katheen Gillett“ missed out of her dream! Why Duyfken’s making landfall in the Far North was both a discovery and tragedy and who was Pancake Andy!

Tours running December 2023 and February - March 2024

This tour explores a collection of vessels along the museum's waterfront and last 1 hour and 15 minutes. 

Please meet at the Storybox between the museum building and the waterfront, 5 minutes before the tour starts. 

When: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays in February and March - 11am, 1pm & 2.30pm
