New Leaf Nursery - Ingleside - Sydney - Review

Last weekend, we thought we'd head out to the New Leaf Nursery in Ingleside on the Northern Beaches. I had heard great things from Liz at Hello Artisan as her little ones love the nursery's little play area and little petting zoo there. I needed a little present for my better half so off we went.

After a bit of a drive from our place and some windy roads (I will take Mona Vale road next time ha!), we arrived at the quiet, green and quirky New Leaf Nursery.

Upon arrival, we straight away recognised some play equipment as well as a little library with tables and chairs for a quiet place to have a coffee or have a snack. I believe the nursery only has takeaway cups so take your reusable cup with you. They have cold drinks and a few snacks too.

Little Miss saw the chicken coop straight away so no browsing for me but we loved patting the chickens. You can go in the main chicken coop with the little ones and let them have a pat which is nice.

Around the corner from the chickens is an eclectic collection of toys, chairs, riding cars and the like. Some parents were happy chatting along with a coffee while their little ones were playing. There's also a kitchen and a slide too! I didn't get to catch a pic of some little ones playing the piano which was very cute. We had a go too but best leave it to the pros!

Little Miss caught on the golf ball game where kids can pick up a bucket and go around the nursery hunting for golf balls, once their bucket is full they can get a stamp and once they go and hide them they can get a prize. This kept little Miss quiet for some time while we explored the nursery and I browsed for a present for her dad.

It is a quirky yet interesting nursery which has a great feel to it and some great plants. There's an old tractor that little ones can sit on which would have been ideal for little Mister but he stayed home for his nap with his dad so we will have to bring him next time.

Little Miss' favourite bit of the nursery would have to be the numerous chicken and guinea pig coops where she was lucky to pat a guinea pig which a lady was taking home with her that day - so cute!

Overall, the New Leaf Nursery is a great place for little ones to have a play, a pat and a look at chickens and guinea pigs as well as a nice place for parents to catchup with friends and family for a coffee while they do a bit of shopping for their garden and home. There are toilets next to the play area but no change table or high chairs available.

The New Leaf Nursery is located at 224 Powderworks Rd (Cnr Wilson Ave) in Ingleside. To find out more, checkout their website.
