Mixing Lab at ArtPlay - Review

If you haven't heard of ArtPlay before, ArtPlay is a centre that provides a range of workshops, events and performances for babies and children up to 12 years old. It aims at providing an outlet for children to explore their creativity and self-expression while they share unique artistic experiences with professional artists. Activities are free or at an affordable fee and can be booked online.

The centre is situated at Birrarung Marr behind Fed Square and little Miss and I loved attending ArtPlay sessions quite frequently when we used to live in Melbourne. There's also a great playground next to the centre for little ones to play at while they wait for their session.

Just last weekend, our guest explorers Little Macy and Arlo enjoyed mixing it up at the Mixing Lab session with their parents and experimented with colours, bubbles, eye droppers and shaving cream.

Mixing Lab is a hands-on sensory experience for little ones and I hear parents can enjoy it too but don't wear your favourite t-shirt on the day as making a mess is key to this workshop!

Little Macy and Arlo sure enjoyed the session, getting their hands dirty and experimenting with different household materials, watercolour paint and food dye.

Mixing Lab is recommended for children 2 to 5 years of age and the next session will be on Saturday 10th of September. ArtPlay sessions book out fast so it is always best to book as soon as possible. To book tickets, go to their website.
